On April 1, 2025, Caring Carroll lost a truly amazing volunteer, Michael Fitzsimmons! Mike started volunteering in 2019 helping mostly those in the South Carroll area. He also volunteered at the Union Bridge Gift Shop for us. The care receivers he helped were like family to him. Because of Mike’s dedication to helping our care receivers, our Board of Directors voted unanimously to change the name of our “Community Promise Fund” to the “Mike Fitzsimmons Memorial Fund” at our April Board meeting. These funds are used to assist care receivers who have a financial need where no other community resource exists. This fund has helped so many of our folks over the years. Mike will be missed and we hope through this fund we can continue to meet these unique needs of seniors. ❤️
